La Vida es un ratico - New Album - Juanes - rating: 4-1/2 Palm Trees
Juanes is back and in full form on his new album “La vida es un ratico” bringing a more mature and emotional touch while maintaining the classic Juanes sound we love. The 13 songs (plus a bonus version of Bandera de Manos, shows Juanes at his most emotional and raw, reminiscent of his Ekhymosis days, but with a much more mature sound. You will still find songs that are “Pure Juanes” such as the catchy Me Enamora, Bandera de Manos, Clase de Amor, as well as a few ballads thrown in the mix including the title song, La Vida es un Ratico. On songs like Bailala and Tres, the Columbian folk influence mixed with traditional rock pop, blends together to embark you on a journey that will make you smile and want to dance. Juanes is back and based on this album, he’s not going anywhere anytime soon, except maybe on stage for a few more Latin Grammys....
