Three Venezuelans, an Ecuadorian, and a Mexican walk into a bar... but this is no joke. This is Origen. They are here to make you the newest member of their “familia”. Origen's family is as diverse as the band members themselves. You'll fit right in if you enjoy hard driving catchy rock songs, mid tempo groovy sing-a-longs, or slow jams of stadium proportions. Origen's music has one common point of origin: infectious pop.
The rhythmic roots of “la familia” are anchored by Tonio on drums, and driven deep by Ruben on bass. This solid foundation is built on by Hector on guitar and Carlos on keyboards. The matriarch of the family is Mirs, in the front and center lead vocals position. However, this family is multi-talented. Don't be surprised if Carlos or Mirs pick up a guitar, or Tonio jumps on the congas for a more acoustic experience. Whether you catch them “en vivo” at an intimate South Beach venue or playing for thousands, you'll recognize the subtle influences of U2, Bon Jovi, Guns-n-Roses, and Coldplay, right along those of Maná, Soda Stereo, King Chango, and Ricardo Arjona.
